Classical Ballet Tutus "Golden Lime Tutu"

lime and gold silk tutu with lilac net skirts and gold lace Lime and gold silk tutu with violet net skirts, embellished with gold lace and beadwork

This tutu is constructed in an amazing fabric. It is a metallic silk dupion in a lilac shade, shot with soft lime green, which in some lights can resemble a rich bronze.

The short, stiff plate-shaped tutu skirt starts as black at the knickers, merging into lilac nets at the top. The bodice and edges of the top-skirt are embellished with gold lace and crystal drops which constantly sparkle as the dancer moves.

This is a one-off new "Rossetti" classical ballet tutu - available for sale to any dancer who fits it properly.

As with all Rossetti tutus, once this costume has been sold, it can still can be made-to-measure to your specifications; fabric, decoration and colour can be varied (please enquire). At present, this costume can be reproduced in the same fabric in different colours, or in the same colours in matte dupion rather than metallic.
All items are constructed to professional performance standards as used by the major UK ballet companies.

If you would like to try this tutu on it would fit (approximately) 31"-32" chest, 32"-33" upper hip, 34"-36" largest part of hip, waist approx 26"- 27". The skirt is 14" - measured out from the hip to the edge of the lace. All of these measurements are approximate. I am often asked to part with tutus without meeting the dancer it is intended for; I would strongly recommend making an appointment to try the costume on (over a leotard and tights, please). Small variations in back length and waist to hip length can greatly affect the fit of a costume, even if the dancer's bust, hips and waist measurements are identical to the actual tutu.

A tutu with this amount of decoration is £520 to buy as shown; or £620 made-to-measure to order - including colour variations.
