"Baroque"
The "Baroque Frock" has a boned corset-bodice in a pale gold brocade, based on an authentic 18th century shape. Cut with the 21st century figure in mind, it will fit someone of the proportions shown below. (Hidden elastics, as used in opera and ballet costume to accommodate lung expansion, increase the fitting possibilities). The fully lined corset has gold lace and pearls to ornament the bodice, combined with chantilly lace off-the-shoulder sleeves. The entire neckline is edged with gold pearls and the corset laces at the back.

The gold and ivory metallic organza overskirt is draped in classic eighteenth century style panniers, edged in gold lace and supported on antique filigree buttons. The main skirt consists of multiple layers of ivory net and tulle. This gown can be treated as a made-to-measure couture order if the measurements are not appropriate. Exact reproduction of the fabrics and trims shown cannot be guaranteed. The authentic Venetian Carnivale mask and jewellery shown are also available. |
