Designer Wedding Dresses Studio Sample Sale

A silly price sale! Gowns at half the couture price.

Much as I would love to keep hundreds of sample gowns and tutus in my studio for made-to-measure clients to experiment with, I'm afraid there simply is not the space! I constantly have ideas for new gown designs and run the risk of nowhere to display them! Therefore, several studio sample gowns have been dramatically reduced in price to make room for new collections. Most of these samples have been made to fit a size 10/12 display stand and will fit someone with measurements of:
bust:33"-36", waist:26"-29", upper hip:31"-33", lower hip:34"-37", upper arm:9"-11",
forearm: 9"-10", upperarm length:22", underarm length:19", length from waist to hem approx. 44". This will be indicated by 10/12 on the thumbnail. Exceptions to this (larger and smaller) will be shown - please email for exact measurements.

After the sample gown has been sold, these designs can still be requested as made-to- measure orders. Obviously this is the safest way to achieve the "fits-like-a-glove" effect I like to offer with my gowns. However, I have seen clients of sale gowns stunned by a fortunate fit: spontaneous couture!

The more you can tell me about your size and shape before visiting to view a sample, the less likely you are to have a wasted journey! Swatches of the sample gown and trims are often available - do ask. I have had experience of an, inevitably disappointed, client seeing a lilac gown on her own computer monitor as ivory - mainly because she was looking for an ivory gown; and of another mistaking a dusty pink gown for a blue, because she didn't check before visiting which was actually available. A supplied swatch would have avoided this.

Sorry, these gowns are only available to UK customers and only for cash payments.

Click on each image to view actual made-to-measure page if available. These gowns are in a very good state of repair - sometimes a size 10 sample gown has appealed to several larger ladies to order from, but has in fact never been worn. Others have only been worn for photos. If in doubt they will have been dry-cleaned. Gowns containing antique fabrics or embellishments are unique one-offs and should be appreciated as such - e.g. anomalies of embroidery in a stunning indian textile is part of its beauty. And if you are in doubt, do make a visit to view.

Please take your time to consider the suitability of the gown for you and your wedding before making an appointment. I am a little tired (help!!!) of visitors trying on a pink dress than saying that pink "just isn't" them, they would NEVER wear pink - "what a shame it's not in blue". Unfortunately, the sample gown is in pink, is not likely to change (!) and if it is not appropriate, you are really in a position of needing to make a made-to-measure order. If you do not wish to pay made-to-measure prices...
Alternatively, if you wish to buy without visiting I will reduce the listed price in most cases and the costume/ gown can be couriered to you. No returns.

Please contact for details and measurements.
